Where the data comes from
The portfolio is tracked on Starfolio. When I refresh the data, an authenticated browser capture extracts anonymous holdings, the visible account performance chart, benchmark series and the associated basket's rebalance records, and saves them to this site's repository. The site is rebuilt from that file. Nothing is fetched while you browse.
Two times are shown: the date of the latest NAV and the time the data was last refreshed. A refresh can succeed while the source's own data is a day or two old, so the two can differ.
Portfolio NAV
The normalized series is copied from the selected investment account's visible Starfolio chart. It starts at 100 on the first observation. It is not the separate basket model backtest, cash balance, cash profit or independently verified XIRR. It is never rebuilt from today's holdings or stock prices.
Treatment of deposits, withdrawals, fees, taxes and dividends has not been independently verified. The source does not attest that every session is present. Displayed returns are changes in this source-reported normalized series.
Returns
A trailing return compares the latest NAV with the NAV on the start date of the period:
Return = (latest NAV ÷ NAV at start of period − 1) × 100
If the start date falls on a weekend or holiday, the last NAV before it is used. If the series doesn't reach back far enough, the return shows as a dash rather than an estimate.
- Since start runs from the first day of the NAV series to the latest NAV.
- Annualised is the compound yearly rate over the same span. It is only shown once the series covers at least a year.
- Worst fall is the largest drop from a previous high to a later low.
- Month by month compares each month's last NAV with the previous month's last NAV.
Benchmark comparison
The benchmark is the Nifty 50, and its series comes from the same source. In the growth chart, both lines start at 100 on the first day of the selected range, so you can compare them directly. "Difference" is the portfolio's return minus the benchmark's, in percentage points.
Holdings and weights
Every current holding is listed with its latest price, today's change and its change since it was added. Weight is the current market-value allocation, not the model target weight. Account quantities and balances are omitted from the public export.
A single stock's daily move is not the portfolio's return. Portfolio performance only ever comes from the NAV series.
Rebalances
The rebalance history lists records returned for the associated basket: stocks added, stocks removed and weights changed. These are basket-level events, not verified account executions, and some may predate the account chart. "Entry → exit" is a stock's price change from when it was added to when it was removed. The source doesn't give a timezone for these records, so only the date is shown.
Fund explorer
The fund explorer loads each scheme's full daily NAV history from AMFI through the free mfapi.in service, directly in your browser. Returns up to one year are absolute. Longer periods are annualised (CAGR) from the NAV on or before the start date. Worst fall is the deepest drop from a previous high. The SIP check buys units at the first NAV on or after the same date each month and reports XIRR. NAVs already include the fund's expense ratio. Taxes, exit loads and stamp duty aren't deducted.
What this site is not
This is not investment advice. I am not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or research analyst, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Past performance does not indicate future results.
